Miles and The $20

Miles and The $20

This story begins when a United States Soldier enters a restaurant for an early meal. The little boy Miles also enters the restaurant with his family full of joy because he had found a $20 dollar bill on the parking lot of the restaurant. Once Miles saw the soldier he remembered about his father who also served the U.S Army. So he thought to himself what he wanted to buy with the money he had found so wrote a note to the soldier with the money in it saying thanks for his service and told him all about his father. The soldier still reads the note everyday to motivate himself and other soldiers all over the world.

Veterans Day

               Veterans Day

Veterans Day is an official United States holiday that honors people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, also known as veterans. It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the end of World War I . The United States also originally observed Armistice Day; it then evolved into the current Veterans Day holiday in 1954.

I think all veterans should be remembered because they fought for our country to protect us. In the past people were drafted and forced to serve many tours. Now in the present day people volunteer to serve knowing they can come back injured or in a casket being carried by other soldiers.
