Duties and Responsibilities:
Mechanical
engineering is
a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of
engineering, physics and materials science for analysis,
design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It
is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and
mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It
is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.
Salary: $52,000-$75,000
Educational Requirements:
A career in mechanical engineering
requires at least a bachelor's degree. These programs include instruction in
various system components, from computer programming to power systems, and
cover technical subjects, such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and
hydraulics. In addition to mechanical engineering, students are expected to
gain a basic understanding of civil engineering, electrical engineering and
chemical engineering. Many programs also include coursework in fields where
mechanical engineering is often applied, such as business or environmental
science.
I would like
to become a mechanical engineer because it requires plenty of math in the process.
I am very good at math and numbers. I would also like to be one because they
win a lot of money yearly and because it seems like an interesting career for.
This job catches my eye.
