Clinical Manager

                  Clinical Manager

Clinical managers, a type of medical and health services manager, work as managers in both administrative and medical capacities to ensure that the establishment for which they work runs smoothly. Clinical managers often work for doctors' offices, clinics, long-term care facilities, and outpatient facilities. Typical duties of a clinical manager include managing clinical, professional, administrative, and clerical staff; managing the recruitment, development of, and appraisal of staff; overseeing day-to-day management; developing and implementing policies and directives; setting and monitoring budgets; attending meetings; handling communications; and making purchasing decisions.

Salary: $67,000 - $98,000

Education:

Manages and oversees a group of clinical education staff. Implements, coordinates, inspect, and evaluate clinical education programs and curriculum. Responsible for seeking more effective methods and contents to ensure delivery of high quality clinical education. Requires a master's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.

I would not like to be a clinical manager because they win a little bit of money compared to other medical pathways.
